Spherical plain bearing is mainly composed of an inner ring with outer sphere and an outer ring with inner sphere.The bearing is generally used for swinging motion of low speed. Due to the sliding surface of spherical shape, the bearing is used for tilted movement in certain Angle range ( the self-aligning movement),when the nonconcentricity between the supporting shaft and the shaft shell is bigger, the bearing can still work normally.
Joint rod end bearings is a mechanical articulating joint. Such joints are used on the ends of control rods, steering links, tie rods, or anywhere a precision articulating joint is required. A ball swivel with an opening through which a bolt or other attaching hardware may pass is pressed into a circular casing with a threaded shaft attached.
The threaded portion may be either male or female.
